  • TCTA provides government relations and public relations support for the cable industry in Tennessee.
  • TCTA represents cable operators and cable programmers, as well as equipment suppliers and providers of other products to the cable industry, before the Tennessee General Assembly, the Tennessee Regulatory Authority, and the Tennessee Congressional Delegation and in the Courts.
  • TCTA represents the cable industry on local, state, and federal legal and public relations matters.
  • TCTA also monitors legislation and provides regular updates on the local, state, and national levels to keep our members informed of current developments.

Events

The TCTA has two events annually that bring cable operators from Tennessee and Associate Members together to meet mingle and inform. These events (link to event page) are Music City Marketing Summit and Cable Days (Legislative Event in Nashville).

Website

The TCTA has an award-winning website, www.tcta.net. As a member of the TCTA, you will receive a user name and password for the “members only” section which includes member lists and legislative updates. As a member of the TCTA, we also include a link to your company’s website. www.tcta.net currently receives 3,000 hits per month.

The Inside Line

As a member of the TCTA, you will have the opportunity to submit articles for the electronic/hard newsletter, The Inside Line. This newsletter is sent to all of TCTA members, and state and federal officials. The TCTA welcomes all member press releases and photos regarding your company that promotes a positive image for the cable industry in Tennessee.

TN Cable Systems Map

The TCTA publishes a bi-annual TN Cable Systems map. This color map outlines which cable company serves a specific community. As a member, you will receive this map free of charge. This map hangs on practically every cable company’s wall.

TCTA Associate Member Database

TCTA Associate Member Database is a comprehensive list of each associate member’s contact information. The database includes names, departments, direct phone/fax numbers, office addresses and emails addresses.

Eligibility

Membership shall be open to any privately owned cable television system operating and located within the State of Tennesssee.  The definition of a cable system shall be that as prescribed by the Federal Communications Commission.

Dues

Member dues are calculated based on gross revenues derived from the provision of cable services and are charged on a quarterly basis.  For details, please download an Operator Membership Application.

The Operator Database is a comprehensive statewide list of each cable systems’ key contacts available ONLY to TCTA Associate Members. The database includes names, departments, direct phone/fax numbers, office addresses and emails addresses.

Eligibility

Membership shall be open to any individual, or privately owned firm or corporation engaged in the manufacture or distribution of equipment, services and/or material used in or by cable television systems within the State of Tennessee or activity directly related to the cable television industry of Tennessee.

Dues
